I do not think this is because of the Political discourse in the United States. The economic situation in the US for most Americans is getting worst. At the same time most people in the US still have a higher living standard the most people around the world. The decline in the living standard has become a hot topic in the political discourse. However, the more it seems to be covered the divides in society seem to worsen. This can be for a lot of reasons which I will not go into, but I think most people will agree something needs to be done.
